Getting Started

Up and running in seconds

    Click the Chat icon in the lefthand sidebar.

    Select a collection from the dropdown at the top of your screen.

  3. 3

    Start prompting. Ask questions, request summaries, and explore the documents.

    Ask follow-up questions, view citations, and review source documents as you go.

    Want to share your findings? Hit the Copy link button in the top right to share a link to your chat.

What can Sourcebase Chat do?

Sourcebase Chat can do a lot! Here are some examples to get you started.

When not to use Chat

Chat is ideal for many uses. However, if you need to search for and manually review a comprehensive list of documents, we recommend using our Search tool, which you can also find in the lefthand sidebar.

Pro Tips

Tips for better prompts

Be conversational.

You don’t need precise keywords or special syntax. Just ask for what you want as if you’re messaging a colleague.

Answers only come from the collection.

Sourcebase draws exclusively from the selected collection and will never pull in outside information.

Rephrase and experiment.

If a prompt doesn’t work, try again with different wording. Going more specific or more broad can produce very different results.
